In our final segment, we discuss some of the upcoming projects and events in Utah, Washington, and Salt Lake counties that are funded by tourism tax dollars brought in by the County Convention and Visitors Bureaus.
We continue our discussion in this segment about tourism taxes and how convention centers help build community pride, and a sense of togetherness for residents. Conventions are also about giving visitors a taste of the place you live, and perhaps enticing them to relocate there either personally or professionally.
Earlier, we mentioned how conventions bring in TRT and TRCC tax dollars to help with quality of life projects among other functions. In this segment, we discuss how TRT and TRCC funding is collected and how that money is spent within the county. It’s clean tax dollars that go to improving lives of county residents.
