Mail-in only elections could be the evolution of voting in the future for the state of Utah as soon as 2015. Right now the program is being tested in Duchesne County but it could expand to other counties in the future.

There are concerns for some that Mail-in only elections compromise the voting system but there a re a number of systems in place that ensure that your vote is counted safely and accurately.
The mail-in ballots allow voters to fill it out at home, and if they have a question about a candidate they can look it up.
Redistricting in Duchesne County has split the county into three pieces. A mail-in ballot has helped to make voting more convenient without requiring the travel that would be necessary for people to reach a polling location. The most exciting aspect to the political parties is that mail-in voting is a proven solution to increasing voter turnout.
