There are a number of resources available to the general public at their county extension office. Utah State University is the land grant university for the state, which means it has an additional mission to extend the resources of the college into the community. What does that mean and how broad are the resources that are available? Watch and find out.
Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams are changing how a situation involving a person in crisis is resolved. These situations typically involved a 911 call and police, fire, and ambulance arriving on the scene. Instead of all of those resources being required on scene it is now possible for a mental health specialist to intercept the 911 call or arrive on scene and assess the situation. It’s a service that is saving the county money and providing a better service for the people who are involved.
