Counties collect taxes for school districts and municipalities but they also collect taxes to run the county itself. Each year the county has to create and balance a budget. Accounting for all the services and needs for a county is no small task. What happens though when a revenue stream that a county is counting on in the budget dries up. Chad Booth joins the Tooele County Commissioners and Treasurer to discuss the hard decisions they had to make when the county found itself in a cash crunch.
