The de-listing of the wolf has made a big impact on how wolf management takes place in the Northern Counties of Utah (Cach, Rich, parts of Weber and Box Elder Counties), but the D listing is not all that simple. Ranchers who were losing livestock are excited to see management turned back over to the state, local governments are glad that they will be able to manage the wolves, and those who want to protect the wolf are worried that this may lead to more dead wolves.
