Derek Dowsett is the Producer of the County Seat. Now entering his 11th season of the program, he has received what he considers a "Crash Course" in County Government.

This designation protects the river for all time for future generations in perpetuity. The problem that local government points out is that it takes away some of the state’s right to the water, and creates federal water rights.
