Snow College has begun asking different questions of industry and business in central Utah. The answers they received have led to new programs in natural resources and industrial technology that prepare students for jobs in the area so they aren't forced to leave the area in search of work.

The Utah Cluster Acceleration Program or UCAP is a new way of preparing students for work. Instead of educating students and then sending them somewhere else to get a job they are now able to stay in the community if they want to. These opportunities create a more flexible future for young workers along with creating a workforce for businesses that would like to locate in rural Utah.

Students need real life experiences in order to round out their education. Having the opportunity to apply the knowledge that they receive in the classroom allows students to make stronger connections to their learning. Internships also allow students to find out if they like the industry that they are training for.
