If you have heard of the Uintah Basin it is likely you have heard about the potential for Natural Gas, Oil, Oil Shale and Oil Sands in the area. However, the story you usually hear alongside that potential is the environmental concerns. We attended the energy summit in Vernal Utah to find out what industry and local governments are working on for the future of economic development in the Uintah Basin. The Uintah County Commission joined us for a round table discussing the challenges for industry and how the county is helping to both enhance economic development and mitigate environmental concerns.
