County Government is probably the least thought about but most important branch of government in your daily life. Who are these county officials and how do they have a major impact on your daily life? We take a look at the two county government forms in Utah the Commission and Council to see how their offices along with the Clerk, Surveyor, Recorder, Assessor, Auditor and Treasurer work together to run the local government and facilitate the tax collection process that helps fund public education, public works and a host of services and infrastructure that directly impact your life. We also look at the offices of the County Sheriff and Attorney, and their function in providing public safety, jails, and legal services to county government.
