Susan Wood talks to experts around the state about the problems caused by the spruce bark beetle in the Dixie National Forest. The insect lays it's eggs in the bark of trees, where the larvae eat at the tree from the cambium layer which upsets sap production and eventually kills the tree. It's an epidemic that is happening in many of the forests around Utah.
