They bring millions of dollars a year in activity to the state yet they are viewed as marauders of the land to some while the local communities view them as saviors of rural communities. But why does it have to be black-and-white? We are finding that some energy companies really are good citizens and they fill in a lot of the gray with mostly bright shades.
