They are the unsung heroes that are called upon when disaster strikes outside of Utah. This specialized group is ready to mobilize a large cache in a matter of hours of a disaster. They were called on to assist in the tragic events of September 11th, along with Hurricane Katrina, and most recently with Hurricane Irene. Terry Wood has the story on this specialized response team that comes to the rescue when the local and state resources are inundated by a disaster.

In the last portion of our on-air broadcast we discuss the importance of communication. How will your family and neighbors communicate in the event of a disaster. What about people out of state? What about following directions that the government might be broadcasting to you.
