Segment 1: Canals in Cache County/ Bear Lake

Many people who are familiar with Bear Lake think of it as a vacation destination but it is much more than that to the communities of Rich County that rely on the lake for flood control, irrigation, the draw of its beautiful blue waters.

Segment 2: Canals in Cache County

In 2009 a landslide caused a breach in the canal system in Logan, Utah. The water from the canal has since been diverted to another part of the system. However the cities of Cache Valley, Cache County, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service have been exploring a permanent solution to the issue. On Oct 3, 2011 the preferred alternative was announced and now the communities are proceeding to the design phase of the
project that will hopefully have the water restored by 2015.

Segment 3: Canals in Cache County: Round Table Pt. 1

The canal restoration project that is taking place in Cache County will bring some benefits to the Logan river in restoring a fish flow because of a requirement of the Forest Service. The project also provides the benefit of conserving 7,500 acre feet of water that will be available to the water users of the Cache Valley.
