The Jordan River has gone from a dumping ground to the backbone of parks and recreation in the Salt Lake Valley over the last 40 years.
The Jordan River Parkway runs approximately 40 miles North to South across Salt Lake County connecting into trail systems in other communities. Proposition 1 a recent bond proposal that will be on the ballot this November, requests $47 million to complete the remaining gaps in the Jordan River Parkway, create a connection into the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, and create additional regional parks for the Salt Lake Valley.
