Washington County isn’t the only county working on a public lands bill. Emery County has been working on their bill the longest. Creation of The Grand Staircase Escalante Monument was on of the major events that prompted Emery County to begin work on planning for their lands rather than to have a plan decided for them in Washington D.C.
