Drought in Utah isn’t a new challenge to farmers in Utah. Many of us on the Wasatch Front are insulated from the effects of drought because of the reservoirs and irrigation systems that we have but off the Wasatch Front the story is different for Utah’s Ranchers.
The drought this year has meant that ranchers have had to bring their cattle off public lands to the ranch and feed them with hay and alfalfa, making it more expensive for ranch families and has led to some tough decisions.
