There are a variety of ways to create economic development but are the obvious strategies (luring unicorns to your community) really the best?
We tour the grand opening of the latest rural co-working innovation center in Vernal Utah as a center for small businesses to make use of resources such as fiber internet and office space to help grow their business without the overhead that a traditional office space can bring. How do these hubs fit into the efforts of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, USU’s Rural Online Initiative and efforts at the county level to expand the opportunities available in Rural Utah? We’ll find out what makes the right mix for keeping talent in the community for homegrown economic development.
