In 1996 President Clinton used the Antiquities Act to declare a 1.8 Million Acre National Monument in Utah. The designation happened without any local input from the affected counties, State of Utah, or the Congressional Delegation of Utah.
This program looks at the impact that The Grand-Staircase Escalante Monument has had on Garfield and Kane County.
