On March 13, the BLM held an open house meeting in Vernal, Utah to inform people about the draft PEIS statement just released by the agency concerning oil shale and oil sands development in the Utah/Wyoming/Colorado region. There was some confusion as to the format of the meeting, and consequently, many people felt disenfranchised and frustrated they did not get to share their thoughts publicly. Several people in attendance met up with The County Seat camera crew to get their comments on the record, which is what is presented here.
