Chad Booth follows up our feature on county land bills with a round table discussion with representatives from Emery County to discuss the process they have gone through in order to create a bill. Randy Johnson, a consultant for the Emery County Bill; Mike McCandless, Emery County economic development and Ray Petersen, Emery County Public Lands Director are our guests on the show this week.
The panel discusses the work that has led up to the creation of the Emery County Bill. This is the third attempt that the county has made to create a land use plan in the county that would help alleviate the uncertainty that surrounds the nearly 85% of federally owned lands in the county.
