HB 148 was passed in the Utah Legislature recently. The bill asks the Federal Government to turn over the public lands in Utah to the state. The bill is being backed in Washington by Utah representatives. Orrin Hatch and Rob Bishop were recently on hand at the Utah State Capitol to make a few statements regarding public lands in the state and the west in general. The County Seat was the only media outlet to stay through the whole press conference, and that is now what is presented here.
